MVHC had a busy October! A Rated Hunter Jumper Show, Dressage/Eventing Ride Critique, a three day rated Dressage Show, AND Southeastern Connecticut's Schooling Horse Trials. The MVHC show team did fantastic all four events. Check out some of the highlights below:

The October dressage show was a huge success! Beth and Merry had their debut back in the dressage ring after a long hiatus and earned marks in the 60s at T2 and T3. Wendy and Woody moved up a level to earn 64% at 1-1. Amanda rode her smash hit freestyle to The Greatest Showman for 68% which placed her 10th Individually for NRADC. The NRADC team of Ellie, Wendy, and Amanda received 6th place overall. Zoe debuted Double Agent in the dressage ring at T1 and T2 to earn scores in the 60s and D'lilah T at 2-1, where they had their most relaxed and rideable test yet!. I rode Yogi Bear in his first dressage tests at T1 and T2 for 67% in each class. Summer Solstice moved up a level to 1-1 and earned 60%. Robbin and I moved up to 1-1 and 1-2, earning 64% and 65%! Great job team!!

Another Eventer was made today! (On Oct 20) Leslie and Merry tried their hand (hoof?) at Eventing and came in 2nd on 32.8 (their dressage a score!)in Advanced Elementary. The rest of the team didn't do too shabby either: Ellie and Comet came 8th in AE. Hannah Roediger piloted Snitch in their first ever combined test to 37.20 in Elementary. Zoe scored a career best for Spy on 30.20 in T2. Kendall Turney WON her second BN out on 29! (Guess that racecar outfit really worked) Nya made a great comeback after being injured all summer to place 3rd with Gypsy on 33.8. Caroline piloted Summer around her first BN to 5th place. Ava and Griffen were 1 and 2 respectively after dressage on 27 and 33 and great in stadium but then were unlucky XC (Sasha did not agree with our decorating taste and Ava popped off while patting her horse after the last XC fence but before the finish) However they both finished all smiles and more confident for having gone around. Amazing job team!
